Boudoir photography highlights how Everyone is a model and shines with beauty
A boudoir session is an intimate experience where trust and respect must rule, must be present in huge quantities but so should fun, loads of fun.
TRUST + FUN = BEAUTY
Taking the plunge and making an open decision to have your portrait taken is a big deal. Most people hear the word photoshoot and run for the hills, panic-stricken and stay there for years.
Sound all too familiar? It is normal. For most of us, becoming the centre of attention, to be the focus is really hard, crippling difficult. Being photographed makes us far more self-aware, vulnerable.
So, when someone, takes the step to bust all those fears and has the courage not only to send society’s constraints packing but trust my lens to capture their inner beauty, my heart does little happy backflips, lots of little happy backflips!
During our session, Amélie and I were in this bubble of mutual trust and fun.
This priceless flow allowed for a very special magic to happen.
From to top to toe she radiated energy, poise and beauty. Photographing her was such a joy, our session a moment to remember. Working in my style knowing trust was in the room, using my love of deep contrasts to highlight her femininity, carve her form softly out of the shadows, was sheer joy.
I absolutely love the final portraits: they are delicate, bathed in an air of mystery, oozing sensuality and timelessness… shining a light on her magnetic beauty.
The images we made she, not only will cherish with loved ones, but wants to proudly share with her world.
These portraits are now part of her legacy, a real visual mark in time that she can leave to inspire generations to come and, that, is another special reason for happy backflips!
