Frequently asked questions

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

  • Black and white, authentic, strong contrasts.

B&W photography is what really moves me. The timeless quality is magic. It’s all about authentic emotion and subtle moments which is really in tune with my focus. Capturing natural moments, creating portraits that have a spontaneous feel. Feelings of simplicity and timelessness lead the way. We offer a variety of sessions to fit your photographic needs but my personal style will lead the way.

  • Can you replicate that style?

    No. Really not!

Simply because it's just that: someone else's style and trying to replicate that would not only infringe on their copyright but I'm also convinced I would do a pretty rotten job.

What we can do is inspiration: if you have ideas and poses and effects you would like to try, excellent. New fresh ideas are always very welcome.

  • “If you feel cool, you’ll look cool”

Always wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and good!  My style is organic, earthy, moody and real. I aim for authentic photographs, which means I want you to be wearing something that fits you.  Something you love wearing, that is darker or lighter than your skin tone. Avoid distracting or busy colours and patterns, we want to keep the focus on you. If you are coming for a family session make sure your clothes blend, not clash.

Bring a couple of outfits to choose from and change into. Aim for a monochromatic color scheme & dress in solid colors, with layers. Layers are a must for movement and texture. Accessories are also welcome. This adds variety to your session.

  • Wear something you feel good in! This is the most important thins.

Avoid very bright colors (magenta, etc.). Avoid large blocks of white. A white shirt under a jacket or blazer is great.

Fitness watches, hair binders on wrists, etc. may show. Remove anything you don't want included.

  • Both Outdoor and studio sessions last between 60 minutes and 90 minutes.  Times can vary but this is usually a good base.  If needed extra time can be taken.

  • The session fee covers the personalised pre-consult, the planning, the preparation of the session, a 1,5 hour session, the image preparation and the in-person sales appointment (The Reveal) where you view and select your images and products.

  • Individual portrait session fees start at €250

  • All you need to do is get in touch and we’ll exchange info.

To do so you can either Email me using this form on the contact page , phone me in the studio, DM me directly through Facebook’s messenger or on Instagram. Once you get in touch, we’ll set up a meeting to talk about your session, wardrobe, location and reserve a date for your own photoshoot.

  • All session locations are chosen in collaboration with you, to bring your unique vision to life. Indoors or outdoors. I can come to you. We can meet in your home, favourite park or any special location of your choice. The location is key to you feeling comfortable and happy. Many clients like to have their portrait taken in the comfort of their own home.

We can also use my studio. There’s natural-light, white-walls portrait area; a spot for studio-lit portraits against beautiful backdrops. It’s lovely space for a variety of individual sessions and styles. It must be noted that it is only big enough for one or two people and can't accommodate a group or a big family session.

  • No problem, life happens and schedules change, just please make sure to call as soon as possible (a 24 hour warning is greatly appreciated) and we can reschedule based on availability.

After booking deposits are non refundable, as I am holding the date for you and turning away other clients.

  • Absolutely, I am with you every step of the way. Not only will I let you know what to do, but I will make sure laughing is also part of the equation and that you really enjoy your session. You will not only look amazing but feel it as well.

  • If you want a new hairstyle: plan it at least two weeks before your session. Please tell your hair and make-up artist that you want soft and touchable hair and no crazy shimmer in your make-up

If you want your skin to look it’s best: stay well hydrated and get plenty of rest a few days before the shoot.
