“ before and after” a special change we love to witness

A connection is created, fun rules, creativity comes alive and trust takes centre stage.

This fascinating change is my happy place, it is what fuels my photography, its what reignites so many of my sitters’ power and self-value.It is the change that feeds confidence!

There is no denying it there is a huge transformation that takes place during a photoshoot, and it has nothing to do with being photogenic, thin or model-like.

“The transformation” is one that no-one can’t really pre-imagine or pinpoint but which blows one away when seen and experienced… and, if we are being very honest, also an important defining factor of us as portrait photographers.

This metamorphosis happens on a far deeper level than eye level. No tricks and gimmicks need to be used (well not in this studio), the focus is solely on my subject, on their energy, on their feelings. Creating a safe space for them to unbashful be themselves, feel amazing (even should the first few minutes be shadowed by insecurities and uncertainties), is paramount.  Inviting them to have a fun and guiding them to be vulnerable is where the entire magic happens.

All of these “same-day” before and after images show quite clearly that the change is a very special kind of transformation… one that (importantly) is not created only with make-up, fancy hair and great styling but one that is also created through connection, respect and trust. A transformation that is enabled and channeled through the balance of skill, styling, laughter, and a honest human vibes.

Have a wee look here are a few “before and after” same day comparisons.
